Precision carpentry, priced like a handshake.
Repairs, finish work and remodels. No bids, no padding, no mystery line items. You pay for my hours; you buy your own materials from a list I give you.
Why labor only? Bids reward guessing high. An honest hourly rate rewards working fast and clean. I tell you what to buy, you buy it, and every hour on your invoice was an hour on your job — $40/hour, 4-hour minimum, labor only. It keeps things fair for both of us. No work, no charge.
Repairs, finish work & remodels
From structure to trim — the precise jobs that need a craftsman, not a crew.
Structural repair
Jack & support walls, replace failing structure, and add beams where the house needs them.
Wood-rot remediation
Cut out rotted or aged wood and rebuild it properly — I’ve seen it all and fixed it all.
Framing & re-framing
New framing or fixing what’s there, planned around plumbing, electrical and what’s coming next.
Finish carpentry
Crown, trim and detail work — cut upside-down and backward, and dialed in tight.
Doors & windows
Hang and replace doors; remove, modify, expand or replace windows up to one-person size.
Full room remodels
Restructure → doors → trim → punch-out — taken end to end and left clean.
Cabinets
Restore, repair, modify or fabricate from existing, and install pre-made units.
Decks, pergolas & patio roofs
Built in wood or Trex (ask me about Trex movement — it shrinks and shifts more than wood).
Exterior & weatherproofing
Soffit, fascia, trim, corners, valleys, critter entry points, small siding repairs, caulk & seal.
Accessibility prep
Structural prep & finish for home elevators and lifts — I frame and finish the opening; the lift company installs the mechanicals.
Sheetrock hung
I’ll set and hang your sheetrock, ready for the tapers. (I don’t tape, bed, or paint — that’s a finisher’s trade.)
Dried-in & watertight
Felt/underlayment and drip edge so your structure stays dry. I don’t lay shingles — but I’ll never leave it exposed.
Fences
Wood fences built and repaired, including setting a post or two in concrete.
Smart-home aware, every cut
Networking, security, WiFi and video doorbells all run through your walls. I frame and repair with the wiring of the next ten years in mind, and I coordinate cleanly with your electrician and plumber — so the wall is ready before it’s ever closed up.
✅ Honest about my lane
So we don’t waste your time — here’s what I don’t take on:
- Large multi-crew jobs (I’m a solo precision operation)
- Sheetrock finishing — tape, bed & paint (I hang it; a finisher tapes it)
- Laying shingles (but I’ll dry it in watertight)
- Concrete beyond a bag or two for fence posts
- Full house re-siding (small siding repairs, yes)
- Brand-new custom cabinets built from scratch
- Custom window frames & door jambs, or windows past ~5’6" reach
Not sure if your job fits? Just ask — I’ll tell you straight.
What to send me
The more I can see up front, the faster and more accurate I can be:
- A short description of the problem or project
- 1 to 3 photos: a wide shot plus close-ups of the trouble spots
- Your town or part of the metroplex
- Rough timing: urgent or flexible?
A look at the work
Rot opened up and rebuilt, floors taken back to structure, stairs and beams finished clean.

Tell me about the project
Add a photo or two. It comes straight to me and I’ll get right back to you. Quick note on how I work first: labor only, $40/hour, 4-hour minimum, you buy the materials from a list I give you. No work, no charge.
